In the Beginning....

Hey, I’m Liv — a nature inspired artist with a heart for handmade beauty and soulful spaces. Liv’n Life Studio started as a small creative outlet and grew into a place where I get to blend all the things I love: painting, pottery, reclaimed wood, old windows, and the natural connectedness provided by plants.

I believe in living simply, creating intentionally, and finding grace in the everyday. My work is inspired by the textures of the earth, the peace of still moments, and the belief that art can be a quiet kind of worship. Whether it's a hand-painted wine bottle, a rustic piece of wood art, or a little green plant ready for a windowsill — each piece is made with heart, prayer, and purpose.

Thank you for being here. I hope you find something that brings a little light to your space and a little life to your soul.

A Still Heart and Busy hands

Hi there! I’m Olivia Long — but most people just call me Liv. I’m a Virginia-based artist and full-time college student currently working toward my Master’s Degree in Biology at James Madison University. I graduated from Bridgewater College in 2025 with a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Science, and I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of the natural world — both through science and through art.

Art has been a creative refuge for me for as long as I can remember. In my free time, I love painting on unique, earthy surfaces like slate, glass, and reclaimed wood. My work is often inspired by the textures of nature and my Christian faith, blending the two to create pieces that feel meaningful, rooted, and full of life

“Whatever You Do, Work at It with All Your Heart”

—Colossians 3:23
This is where the heart of the work happens—quiet moments, steady hands, and a whole lot of love.

My love for art started when I was young, shaped by a deep appreciation for nature and my mom’s eye for rustic, charming home décor. Most of my work is painted in a crowded basement—surrounded by storage and dim lighting—which makes the creative process all the more special. It’s a real-life reminder of one of my favorite quotes: “It is in the darkness that seeds begin, art is stirred, and hearts learn to hope.”

Through this space, I want to share more than just finished pieces—I want to share the full experience: the laughter, the mess, the beauty, and the imperfect moments that make creating so meaningful.

In recent years, I’ve also developed a love for botany and have gathered a growing collection of houseplants. It’s brought so much joy and peace to my life, and I hope to pass on a bit of that green happiness to others. While attending Bridgewater College, I also discovered a passion for pottery in a ceramics class. Though I’m not actively creating pottery right now, I hope to return to it and expand what I offer in the near future.

I hope these little snapshots of my journey bring a smile to your face and help you feel the same joy I find in creating.
